Grand Forks, ND:  : This year's annual UND ExtravaBANDza! will showcase the University Band, as well as the Pride of the North Marching Band, on Tuesday, December 2, at 7:30 p.m. The performance will be held at the Chester Fritz Auditorium on the UND campus. Tickets, available at the door, are $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for students and senior citizens, or $12.00 per family.

The University Band, under the direction of Dr. James Popejoy, will open the concert with an eclectic program of concert music, including Francis McBeth's Masque and Canticle of the Creatures by James Curnow. The Pride of the North Marching Band, directed by Robert Brooks, will present a showcase concert of their fall season, including performances of the traditional school songs and cheers, as well as music from their field shows such as the jazz classics Take the "A" Train and Swing, Swing, Swing. The UND Colorguard and Drumline units will also be featured during the event.
